Sunshine Smoothie Bowl


INGREDIENTS

TURMERIC MILK
2 cups unsweetened plant based milk (coconut, almond or rice)
1/2 tablespoon peeled, grated fresh ginger
1 tablespoon peeled, grated fresh turmeric
3-4 black peppercorns

 

SMOOTHIE BOWL
2 cups of frozen pineapple or mango
2 golden kiwi fruit (optional, can also be frozen)
1 banana (optional, can also be frozen)
1/2 cup of turmeric milk (prepared ahead and chilled)
1 tablespoon of Bestow Beauty Oil or Beauty Plus Oil
1 teaspoon of Bestow Berry Beautiful for dusting (optional)

 

TOPPINGS (optional)
fresh fruit, coconut thread, chia seed, dried rose petals, Bestow Berry Beautiful

Suitable for:
Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner | Snack

METHOD

TUMERIC MILK (prepared ahead)

Add all ingredients to a saucepan, stir well. Bring to a simmer and then lower the heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Strain and set aside to cool then refrigerate for up to two days.

SMOOTHIE BOWL

To make smoothie bowl blend chilled turmeric milk, frozen and/or fresh fruit and Bestow Beauty Oil. Scoop into a small bowl, add optional toppings. Enjoy!

NOTES

Turmeric is a spice well known for its healing and anti-inflammatory properties it offers the skin. It helps reduce redness and supports the process of healthy cell renewal and repair.

This smoothie uses the turmeric infused milk as a base which is versatile in other ways. With the leftover turmeric milk you can add it to other smoothies, use in place of milk with other breakfast options or have it hot. We like to heat the remainder, adding some cinnamon, ginger and a small amount of honey or maple syrup (for sweetness if needed) for a delicious, creamy, homemade turmeric latte.
