Blog post 3 – Happy digestion series


In our busy lives we often don’t spend the time preparing food like we used to a couple of generations ago. This means that our bodies don’t often get enough warning that we are about to eat and therefore don’t prepare the digestive juices to cope with the food consumed.

These tips may help in improving digestion and avoiding that bloated feeling:

  • Try to eat at much the same time each day – your body will try to anticipate when it needs to prepare for digestion.
  • Enjoy the taste, smell and look of your food. This gets your body prepared for digestion. Try not to get distracted by reading or watching TV.
  • Eat small, regular meals so you don’t overfill your stomach and digestion is easier. Overeating places strain on the digestive system and can result in indigestion.
