This is the first in a series of five articles that we will be running each week about the subject of digestion.

We have all heard the saying “you are what you eat” but I think a more accurate statement would be “you are what you absorb”!

Because the skin is the last organ of the body to receive nutrients, it is really important for us to ensure we are getting all the vitamins and minerals that they need for beautiful skin, hair and nails. While it is wonderful to be eating a healthy, well balanced diet, if we are suffering from symptoms like bloating, indigestion, constipation or diarrhoea, then chances you’re not absorbing the nutrients you could.
